Tråd

A slow fashion clothing brand built around one T-shirt, made properly. I created the visual identity, the website with its made-to-order pre-order flow, and the communication around the first drop.

My role & contributions

One idea carried through every touchpoint: the slow fashion standard — buy less, wear longer.

  2. Website
  3. Pre-order flow
  4. Communication

01 — Visual identity

Four letters, folded into one mark.

The letters of Tråd are pulled apart and folded back into a single round symbol — small enough for a neck label, a button or a stamp on the box. Next to it, the name is set in a bold upper-case serif, plain and sturdy. Colour is taken from the cloth itself: five colourways — Ocean, Stone, Soil, Canopy and Cloud — and four neutrals. Courier Prime carries the headlines and spec sheets; Hanken Grotesk handles anything read in sentences.

Tråd identity board: the round logomark beside the TRÅD wordmark, with notes on the logomark, wordmark and composition; the mark on Ocean, Ink, Stone and Paper; the colourways Ocean, Stone, Soil, Canopy and Cloud and the neutrals Chalk, Paper, Stone and Ink; “Buy less. Wear longer.” in Courier Prime with Hanken Grotesk body text; and photography shot outside in daylight against plain walls

02 — Website

One T-shirt, sold properly.

The homepage leads with the garment and its details — collar, sleeve, knit — then the five colours and a single line of belief: we don’t do seasons. The Standard page spells that belief out in four principles, from “Designed to last. Made to matter.” to “A standard, not a trend.”

Tråd homepage: “The Slow Fashion Standard” hero with Shop Drop 01, close-ups of the collar, sleeve and knit, “Five colours. Nothing else.” with Ocean, Stone, Soil, Canopy and Cloud to pre-order, the statement “We don’t do seasons…” and a newsletter sign-up
Homepage
The Standard page: “A different standard for getting dressed”, a close-up of the collar, Tråd’s position, the principles Designed to last, Less but better, Intention in every detail and A standard not a trend, and the closing line “Less driven by what’s next. More grounded in what lasts.”

03 — Pre-order flow

Made to order, measured at home.

Every shirt is cut to order, so the flow starts with fit: two measurements from a T-shirt you already own. Then you adjust the cut, see where the garment comes from — four named stops from field to fold — and pay. The order summary stays beside you the whole way, and the thank-you page tells you exactly what happens next, week by week.

Step 1, Measure — “Two numbers. One tape.”: measure chest and length on a T-shirt you own, with an order summary for The First T-shirt in Ocean at €65
01 — Measure
Step 2, Fit — “Cut it your way.”: choose slim, regular, boxy or baggy, cropped, regular or long length, regular or longer sleeves, plus an optional note
02 — Fit
Step 3, The garment — “Know what you’re wearing.”: four stops from fibre in the Aegean region, Türkiye, to spinning in Barcelos, dyeing in Guimarães and cutting and sewing in Copenhagen, with the spec and care details
03 — The garment
Step 4, Pay & deliver — “Last step.”: Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal, contact and delivery address, standard or express delivery and card details
04 — Pay & deliver
Thank-you page: “Thank you.” with a note on why small runs need people who commit early, and what happens now — today, within 48 hours, weeks 1–5 and week 6
Thank you

04 — Communication

Hard sun, plain walls, close cloth.

Natural daylight, real streets, no studio gloss. Every wide shot is paired with a close-up of the knit — the fabric is the product story. The launch posts and story reuse the same type, colour and mark, so each one reads as Tråd at a glance.
